Michelle Donison - Director of Admissions/Co-Owner

Michelle had been self-employed as a Field Technician in Oil and Gas since 2011. For ten years she has spent her career on drilling rigs mainly in South East Saskatchewan with some experience in Alberta and Manitoba as well. She had never imagined that she would be calling a drilling rig home for ten years, but with a background in Geography and Geology, it seemed like the right place to go! She has a passion for a challenging work environment and values hard work and dedication. She has always found that the best way to succeed and grow was to place herself outside of her comfort zone by making demanding and non-typical career choices for the modern woman. She has been tirelessly dedicated to providing the best possible customer service and quality of work for many years and greatly enjoyed her time in the field.

She has also always been dedicated to promoting awareness within the female community that women can succeed in any career their heart desires. Michelle has always had a strong passion for Medical Aesthetics, beauty and everything Skincare related. On her off time from Oil and Gas Michelle often worked for Eternal Beauty and its subsidiary companies in Sales. She greatly enjoyed Esthetics Sales and knew that when the timing was right, she was going to make a career change to the beauty industry, and here we are. Michelle began working full time for Eternal Beauty Calgary in Admissions in March of 2020. She has been continuously working to expand her Esthetics Education and beyond excited for her new position as Co-Owner/Director of Admissions at Eternal Beauty YQR.

Larissa Kowal - Regional Director/ Co-Owner

Larissa began her professional career as an architectural technician with a start-up architectural firm as she always had an eye for esthetics. She has always been career driven, and has placed herself in roles that allowed for personal and professional growth.

In 2015, she was afforded the opportunity to join another start-up company as a Project Manager, where she has been for the last six years. While she greatly enjoyed working in the design & construction industry, she knew that she would one day start and run her own business. With a passion for all things health and fitness, she jumped at the opportunity to join her partners in opening Eternal Beauty YQR.

Larissa’s vision for Eternal Beauty YQR includes creating an inclusive space filled with positive energy and empowerment. Part of Larissa’s role as Co-Owner/ Regional Director is to assist students set attainable goals and become self-sustaining entrepreneurs.

About The Founder

Barbara was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta Canada. From a young age, Barbara was drawing, painting, and sculpting and loved everything creative and artistic. From this passion, she began studying the art of beauty and fashion spending time at the prestigious ACAD in fashion design. From there Barbara went on to follow her passion in academics attending both Kwantlen University in British Columbia and University of Calgary here in Alberta studying Psychology. While in University she pursued her dreams of make-up artistry, skincare and cosmetic tattooing by taking many courses in esthetics. This allowed her to open up her own spas and wellness tanning studios (Baja Suntan Studios in Calgary, AB). Barbara's passion for business started at a very young age when as a contract sculpture artist! Through the years she has owned several beauty companies and brands (including VIDALASH, Scalp Design, Westend Dayspa, LushLips, and Plasmalift). Barbara and her team continue to be innovators in the marketplace while leaving a lasting impression on each and every student that enters our halls. We love you all.
